Dear friends,
As 2025 wraps up, we’re calling it: this year was bold, joyful, and occasionally messy (in a good way).
We were being nominated for Brisbane Pride Ball Event of the Year, and took home the Logan Chamber of Commerce Award for Creative Industries in Logan. Plus, we solidified our values and purpose to became an ACNC registered charity.
We created more safe, creative spaces to tell stories that matter, and bring people together in ways that actually feel human and have real impact.
And we engaged and supported over 4000 people across our workshops, events, marches, and trailer stage hires. Here’s what we got up to.

Naomi Crawford

As our new Secretary, Naomi brings fresh energy, insight and commitment, and we’re excited to have her as part of the Assorted Grains leadership team.
Naomi is a visual artist, exhibiting nationally and internationally under the pseudonym OmiLee, and an arts worker who champions accessibility, collaboration, and inclusion. She is an active contributor to community arts and has played key roles in developing and supporting projects that connect artists from diverse backgrounds, such as Artisability, Studio 56 Miami Marketta, and Loud and Proud Logan.

We farewelled Jimmy Watts, Assorted Grains co-founder, whose leadership and commitment helped shape the org from the very beginning. Jimmy, thank you for the foundations, the care and the belief.
